This shot was taken from the verge of Hopar Glacier near the village
named Hopar in Nagar Valley and shows the 12 km length of Hopar glacier.
Towards right and left of the starting point of this glacier are two
towering peaks: right is Diran (Bawaltar) peak (7257m / 23808 ft) and
left side is Miyar peak (6824m / 22390 ft). This glacier is around 18km
in length and you can actually hear it groan while standing at its side
since it is the fastest moving glacier in Pakistan & fastest outside
of the Polar region. The fastest moving glacier is Jacobshavn in
Iceland.
