female climbers in the Karrakoram Range


Shimshali female climbers created history to conquered three peaks in a week in the Karrakoram range in the Gilgit-Baltistan region.
Designated the Pakistan Women’s Expedition (PWE), the team climbed Mingligh Sar (6050 meters) Vulio Sar (6035 metres) and the third summit, Quz Sar (5900 meters), was the first all-women’s unassisted climb where the women handled all the logistics.
Shimshal valley is a place where women are working shoulder to shoulder men. Both males and females are very strong and hard working, they never afraid of doing hard work. The valley is called "the Valley of Mountaineers" where many legend mountaineers climbed above 8000 meter peak in Pakistan.
